Weeks ago, I posted about starting something new. And today, I can tell you:
I’m learning to create and sell digital products.
So how did I get here?
Like I said in my earlier post, it’s been a while since I had a regular income coming in every month. There are months that I don’t receive a salary, and right now, it’s taken a toll on my budget. Inflation sucks, guys.
So I went online to search for stuff that I can do to earn on the side.
And that’s how I discovered digital products.
I found videos of it on Tiktok. After some digging, I learned that this can be done through apps like Canva. And that there are reselling rights that I can attach to these products to sell.
Many have already delved into this, selling templates, ebooks, courses. Some have already earned from it.
I said to myself, why not try it? I have a lot of experience using Canva. Although I can’t buy courses to resell yet, I found some free resources that can help me. I’ve also started joining groups and communities that support digital product creators and sellers.
I’m still in the early stages of my digital products sidejob, but I have already put up stores where I can sell my stuff. The first one I built in Raket.PH because many Filipino sellers recommended it.
I want to offer my digital products outside of the Philippines, too, so I made another store on Gumroad.
For now, I’m offering digital products related to travel. One is The Wanderlust Travel Planner, a PDF printable that I’m selling for end-users for their personal use (no resell rights). This was the first product I created because I thought of the time when we went to Japan and my sister and I did most of the planning. Basically the sections in this travel planner are the stuff we took note of when we planned our Japan trip.
I also created an accompanying card set, The Wanderlust Travel Affirmations. Since a lot of people are into manifestations and affirmations, I thought of this that’s more focused for traveling. Open the doors to many travels, so to speak. Let in the good juju. 😀
The third digital product I have in my store is one that has resell rights. The DigiLife Travel Planner, I’d like to call it, is targeted more to resellers (although end-users can get it, too). The resell rights attached to this is Private Label Rights (PLR), which gives the buyer the ability to tweak the design according to their desired look or branding, and then resell it as their own.
I have another product on my plate, still creating it. It falls on a totally different niche and targeted more to Filipinos, so maybe I’ll sell it locally first. I know I’m going to another niche (the advice is to niche down or stick to one). However, I feel this new digital product I’m developing has a potential because it targets kids and parents. Yeah, that’s the mom in me talking. 😀
Well, that’s it for now. To be honest, I’ve not earned anything from my first three products yet. Well, it’s been less than a month since I started. I believe the right time will come for me.
Crossing my fingers! Wish me luck, too!
